March is a strange month that leaves many people feeling unsure of whether they should start breaking out the mini skirts or falling back into a big warm parka. If you're like me and you're surrounded by snow 24/7 (thank you Phoebe for deciding to go to school in what seems like the tundra), it's hard to find a good way to move into spring style while still being stuck in the winter. So while I can't jump right into the pastel spring looks I adore, it doesn't mean I can't dream of a perfect Spinter (Spring+Winter) aesthetic. You always hear about color palettes and transition pieces that work from Summer to Fall and from Fall to Winter but I feel like the Spinter time period goes more unnoticed. ★ I created a Mood Board on Pinterest that captured the ideal Spinter palette and look. Usually I've been very into neutrals like whites and beiges but as we all know, Spring is the time for color and bold statements, and yes even the groundbreaking florals. I personally wouldn't say my style and my ideal style embodies those elements but I wanted to find a way to still incorporate color into this board. I searched for elements that included what I would call an "Easter pastel pink" which is colorful enough to embody spring but also stays within my personal neutral color palette. I mixed in classic whites, beiges, and golds that are not only timeless but convey the beauty of winter and the bright white snow. Gold will always be my favorite metal but I feel as though it's the perfect route to go for Winter jewelry due to it's bold and versatile look. Like I said earlier, I'm not one for color and find that neutrals are more my things; but in all honestly this mood board has got me wanting to add pinks into my wardrobe and lifestyle more than ever! ★ Here's a peak at some of the elements from my March Mood Board (as well as the collage above displays some of my favorite pins from the board)! You can stay up to date on my March Mood Board linked here on my Pinterest! Don't be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to your Spinter style (no more typical florals!!) and may your March be full of glittery pieces and a good old pop of Easter pastel pink. ★★

Welcome Welcome!Well this feels like déjà vu doesn't it? It was about a year ago when the original Phoebe's Phinds website was published online. Obviously life happens and not everything goes your way, but I like to look at this re-opening at as a blessing. I went through a variety of issues with the old Phoebe's Phinds and as time went I on I knew I needed a change. My old website didn't have a look I truly loved, I wasn't sure what I wanted my content to be, and I didn't have the grip on blogging that I had hoped I would. I spent the summer of 2016 taking photos and crafting content for my blog but I could never bring myself to actually writing the posts. I would spend hours having mini photoshoots in my kitchen all to later find myself staring blankly at my computer screen unsure what I was doing. I didn't have that passion I was hoping I would have when I first created the blog. ★
I spent the last year remaking not only my blog but myself along with my blogger image. I spent a lot of time learning about the ups and downs, and ins and outs of the blogging world. Long nights were dedicated to scrolling through the endless Pinterest posts about how to start a successful blog, scouring the feeds of bloggers on Instagram to get a taste at what a successful feed looked like, and even spending time changing myself in hopes of fulfilling the image of an ideal blogger that everyone adored and obsessed over. The last part sadly became some what of an issue for me. I would spend so much time dwelling on how perfect big name bloggers were that it would mentally push me away from even wanting to blog. I focused on how shiny their hair is, how expensive their closets are, and how perfect their bodies are. This eventually drove me crazy and resulted in the down fall of the old Phoebe's Phinds. But now I like to think that I'm back and better than ever. I've learned that you don't have to look a certain way, dress a certain way, or even act a certain way if you want to be a successful blogger. I also had to teach myself that my time as a blogger shouldn't be focused solely on success but rather that it should be about expressing myself and writing about what I love! I learned to become more confident in myself and I knew coming back I would be stronger than ever and more accepting of myself than ever. ★ I'm so honored to welcome you to the new and improved Phoebe's Phinds and I hope you enjoy your time here just as much as I do! Don't forget to subscribe to my mailing list for updates on all things Phun, Phasionable, and Phierce. And always remember to stay true to yourself and what you love; you're more fabulous than you even know ★★ xo Phoebe |
